Sensitivity

Acrylic on canvas, 70x50 cm

This painting is a sister of the “Blue“ work. Both, at their core, are about life as a woman.

The red of her lips symbolizes passion, a passion that always accompanies a woman's life, even when it seems to flicker out. It also highlights the contrast between her inner world and external perceptions—the way others may see her only through her beauty, overlooking the inner battles she faces.

In this piece, the posture of the girl reflects a longing for protection and her vulnerability to the outside world, which often fails to understand her internal struggles and turmoil. Despite this sense of inner solitude, there is a certain strength in her presence—the strength to be herself, despite external pressures, despite the expectations and standards society imposes.
